It happened. That pretty little house that Shanna posts tons of amazing photos of? It's real. Halfway through our visit, I looked at her and said, "I feel like I'm in a storybook." I've seen so many photos of her perfect little home, it felt so surreal to actually be there.

Rog and I parked in front of her house and got to meet her little nugget, Neeson, right away. He's the sweetest, funniest, coolest little kid. He gave us a quick little tour of his home before we headed down to Old Colorado City for lunch.

Shanna and her husband, Dave, took us to Mother Muff's. Mother Muff's has an insane history, including once being an opera house, a vaudeville theater, and an ice cream parlor, just to name a few! It had a really cool feel, and really great food!

After lunch, we went back to Shanna's house and had some beer and wine while we chatted for a while. It was the best day, and it was exactly what I imagined our first hangout to be like. But after three years of friendship, I'm not sure there could have been a wrong way to spend our time together.

As we drove out of Colorado Springs, Rog looked at me and said, "now you have two real life friends." And it's the truth. I'm so excited to be living so close to one of my very best friends for the next three months.

Also, what do you think about my outfit? Did I pick a good one?! :)
