So if you happened to stop by last night, you might have thought you were in the wrong place.  You're not, I promise.  Lately, I've been a little unhappy with my overall blog design.  It seemed amateur, plain, and unprofessional.  I even went so far as to ask for a custom blog design for Christmas.  Let me tell you, after yesterday, I'm so glad I didn't get it.

I've never been computer savvy, but with the help of Google, Microsoft Word, Paint, PicMonkey, and Photobucket, I managed to grind through the HTML coding to get to where I am now.  It isn't done yet, I'll continue to work on little updates over the next few weeks until I get things just where I want them, but for the most part, the overall aesthetic is done!

I'm so proud of myself.  Everything about this is hand-made, so please take that into consideration as you're browsing.  The letters of my header were a page that I painted with watercolors about a week ago.  I found a font that I liked, inserted it over the top in Word, and went to town erasing all of the color around the letters.

I like that this font still has the script-feel of my old one, the overall ombre effect, and the little heart above the "u."  And just for giggles, let's look at my old header:

Don't worry... everything is still exactly where it's always been in terms of layout, so you shouldn't have any difficulty finding anything.  So... what do you think??

I know I've been slacking on posts for the last few weeks, so to make it up to you, I'm going to post two today!  Check back in for a comfort recipe later this afternoon!

Thanks for understanding and thanks for reading!  I love you guys :)
