Today is mine and Roger's second anniversary.  We've officially been dating for two years, today.  I like to use our anniversary and holidays like Valentine's day to give him something meaningful because... that's the point, right?

I searched around for some ideas, but couldn't really find anything that I loved.  I've been meaning to make more pages for our scrapbooks, but don't really have the supplies that I need to do that here.  The idea of kind of building upon our scrapbooks appealed to me though, so I started brainstorming ideas to do that.  I finally decided that I needed to tell our story from my perspective, because it's something that I don't ever want to forget.  It's sad, but the details from nearly three years ago are becoming hazier and hazier in my mind, and I wanted to write them down now before the smallest details are lost forever.

Write.  Yes.  Perfect.  I wanted to hand-write out our love story.  How romantically sappy.  I decided to search for a leather journal because I wanted it to be sort of rustic and timeless, not cheesy in any way.

I bought this journal from DancingGreyStudio on Etsy and I honestly couldn't be happier with it.  Shortly after I purchased it, the shop owner contacted me, thanking me for my order and telling me that she would be shipping it the next day.  She sent me another message saying that it was sent, and then yet another thanking me for the nice review.  It was an extremely pleasant transaction, and the journal is so well-made.  Oh and the packaging was so cute.  Presentation is everything, right?

On the first page, I wrote him a little note explaining the gift.  Then I had a "title page," and it just said "The Story of Us."  To separate it up a little bit and to keep it more readable, I made each month a different "chapter."

I'm absolutely in love with how it turned out, and I can't wait until I can give it to Roger tonight.  I hope he loves it, and spoiler alert-- he's even gushier than I am :)  Hooray for two years.  I wouldn't have wanted to spend them with anybody else.
