Remember last week’s post about One Word Wednesday?  I mentioned that this week’s word was project.

I’ve had a lot going on this past week, between another Optometry School interview trip, painting the front door, prepping the side door for paint, and helping my mom get the house ready for prom photos this weekend.

So, at first I planned on making this week’s photo/post serve sort of a dual-purpose in revealing our finished front door to everyone.

But then I decided that I wanted to share a photo this morning of my sister’s boyfriend’s boutonniere for prom :)  MY MOM MADE IT.  Seriously.

Tay’s dress is knock-out gorgeous, so I thought that feathers would be a cool way to play it up and make it even a little sassier.  It took a while to get Taylor and my mother on board with this idea but once I looked up inspiration photos, they were all in.

My mother is the talent behind the floral operations here.

I can’t wait to share her corsage and other pictures of her from prom this weekend.  She’s going to be stunning.  Also, her birthday is on Friday.  Happy Birthday, Baby Tay :)

Here are some other photos from the “founders” of One Word Wednesday this week:

The other three ladies had some big things going on this week so they’ll join in again next week.

Update: Bethany posted her photo this afternoon, and it's so charming that I felt like I needed to add it in :)

In other awesome news—my pink photo from last week was chosen as a favorite and featured on a few blogs this week!  That was a pretty great surprise this morning, even if it is just for fun :)  Check out those posts here and here!

Next week’s word is growth, so if you want to join in, feel free!  Just make sure you tag #onewordwednesday.  It really is a lot of fun to watch photos pop up on my Instagram feed all day.
